What is the TRM?
The TRM is Colombia's official USD reference rate, published every business day by the Financial Superintendence. It's the number used for accounting, taxes, contracts and as the benchmark behind every "dólar hoy" headline.

Questions
What is the TRM?
The TRM (Tasa Representativa del Mercado) is Colombia's official US dollar rate. It is calculated and published by the Financial Superintendence based on each business day's dollar trades.
Does the TRM change on weekends?
No. The TRM is set on business days. Friday's rate also applies on Saturday, Sunday and holidays until the next one is published.
Why does the exchange house give me a different value than the TRM?
The TRM is an official reference, not the retail price. Exchange houses, banks and platforms apply a spread, so the buy/sell rate differs slightly from the TRM.
