1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Colombia Move ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users: buyers, sellers, advertisers, and community members.

2. Description of the Service

Colombia Move is an online marketplace and community that allows users to post and find jobs, services, housing, vehicles, electronics, and other classifieds, as well as participate in a Q&A community. The Service is free for basic features. We offer optional paid features (featured listings, bumps, Pro memberships, verified badges, promoted answers, and category sponsorships).

3. User Accounts

To post listings or participate in the community, you need an account. You can create an account using your email (with magic link, no password) or by signing in with Google. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of access to your account
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Providing accurate and up-to-date information
  • Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access

4. User Content

You retain ownership of the listings, messages, photos, reviews, and other content you post. By posting content on Colombia Move, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote that content within the Service and in related channels (email, social media when you share, notifications).

You are solely responsible for the content you post. You warrant that you have the right to post it and that it does not infringe on the rights of any third party.

5. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service to:

  • Post illegal, fraudulent, misleading, or infringing content
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users
  • Post duplicate listings or spam
  • Sell products or services prohibited by Colombian law
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform or to other users' accounts
  • Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools without written permission
  • Bypass the platform's official payment methods for paid features
  • Impersonate another person or business

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without prior notice.

6. Paid Features and Payments

We offer optional paid features with prices published on the platform. Payments are processed through third-party providers (Wompi, Strike, Stripe). When you purchase a paid feature:

  • You accept the price in effect at the time of purchase
  • The feature activates once payment is confirmed
  • Payment providers may have their own terms and fees
  • We are not responsible for failures in external payment processors

7. Refund Policy

Paid features (featured listings, bumps, Pro, badges, promoted answers, and sponsorships) are generally non-refundable once activated, as they begin delivering immediately. If you have an issue with a payment, contact us within 7 days of the purchase and we will evaluate your case in good faith. Refunds are at the discretion of Colombia Move.

8. Transactions Between Users

Colombia Move is a platform that connects buyers, sellers, employers, and professionals. We are not a party to the transactions that occur between users. We do not verify the identity, products, services, or job offers posted by users (beyond basic moderation measures). You are responsible for verifying any person or business you do business with. Use contact and payment methods with caution. Colombia Move is not responsible for disputes, payments, deliveries, or any other aspect of transactions between users.

9. Intellectual Property

The name "Colombia Move", the logo, the design, the code, and all elements of the platform are the property of Colombia Move and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, nor that information posted by users is accurate or reliable. You use the Service at your own risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Colombia Move shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of revenue, data, or use, arising from the use or inability to use the Service. Our maximum total liability to any user shall not exceed the amount that user has paid to Colombia Move in the previous 12 months.

12. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, without refund of already-activated paid features. Upon termination of your account, your public content (listings, community answers) may remain visible for a reasonable period before being removed.

13. Changes to the Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above indicates when they were last modified. For significant changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice on the platform. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia. Any dispute relating to the Service shall be resolved in the competent courts of Colombia, unless applicable consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
