Long-term rentals (arriendo) usually want a fiador/codeudor (a Colombian co-signer who owns property) or a rental-insurance policy instead. Expect to pay administración (building fees) on top of rent, and ask which utilities are included. Furnished short-term places (Airbnb-style or aparta-estudios) skip the co-signer hassle but cost more per month — a common first step while you get set up.
