Remote Services is the Colombia Move section for everything offered online: via WhatsApp, video call, phone, or the internet, no matter which city you or your client are in. The idea is simple: if your service is remote, post it once and it appears for all of Colombia. No more one ad per city.

The problem it solves

Classifieds and marketplaces usually sort services by city, which makes perfect sense when someone is looking for a plumber or help with a move nearby. But for a service that is performed remotely, that same logic becomes a barrier: you have to pretend you are in several cities at once, posting the same ad many times. That clutters the listings in each city and makes you waste time. Remote Services separates that category: one remote post is valid for the entire country.

Why we did it this way

Major freelance platforms are primarily designed for companies—many of them international—to hire talent on a project basis: they charge commissions and operate largely in English. Local classifieds, on the other hand, pigeonhole you into a single city. Something in between and distinctly Colombian was missing: a place in Spanish, free of charge, with direct contact and no commissions, where a person in Colombia can offer their online services to others in Colombia—from Pasto to Barranquilla—all from a single post. Contact is direct and you decide what information to share. As with any deal, it is advisable to agree in writing on what the service includes before starting, be wary of anyone who asks you to pay to “give you the job,” and use a payment method you feel comfortable with.
