Which areas are best for expats in Bogotá?

Chapinero (and Chapinero Alto) is central and lively; Usaquén is leafier with a nice weekend market; Rosales and Chicó are upscale and quieter; La Candelaria is historic but better for short stays than long-term living. Bogotá is big and cooler than Medellín, so consider your commute and that you may want heating-friendly bedding. Scout in person first.
